Lady Gaga Has 20 Million Twitter Followers

When it comes to Hollywood’s most Googled, Lady Gaga’s search numbers haven’t quite reached the heights of Justin Bieber’s. But in the Twitter universe, Little Monsters trump Beliebers.
While Bieber likely broke a record for the most widespread social media message on his 18th birthday last week, it was Gaga who recently hit a Twitter milestone, surpassing 20 million followers. At the time this was written, Gaga counted 20,172,986 followers, and Bieber’s totalled 18,135,643.
While Gaga is clearly the ultimate fame monster, other stars with impressive Twitter fan bases include Katy Perry (15,777,783 followers), Shakira (14,585,941) and Rihanna (14,524,959). President Obama, whose Google search volume has far surpassed that of Gaga, trails far behind the pop megastar on Twitter, with a mere 12,854,094 followers.
Lady Gaga Visits Harvard In Prabal Gurung

Lady Gaga used to shock us — and the world — with her creative ensembles but she’s been a little MIA for the past few months.
But lately it seems the pop singer has returned to her stylish ways, popping up at one of the country’s most prestigious colleges to launch her new Born This Way foundation on Wednesday in a head-turning outfit.
Lady Gaga headed north to Harvard University celebrate her new charity, and as she was surrounded by media and adoring fans, we immediately noticed her outfit: a neoprene black coat with a peplum, fresh off Prabal Gurung’s spring 2012 runway, and a floor-length black jersey dress by Rhode Island School of Design graduates Sally LaPointe.
She added Prabal Gurung for Linda Farrow Projects sunglasses and her signature wacky headpiece.
Is it jaw-droppingly “out there”? Not really. But who cares? We’re glad she’s ditched the candy-colored dresses for some up-to-the-minute runway garb.
Gaga’s representative says the singer donated $1.2 million to the foundation, which is dedicated to “empowering young people”and fighting the problem of bullying. Even the biggest stars on the planet can’t resist the chance to catch a glimpse of the Gaga: Oprah was there as well.

Lady GaGa Covers NME Magazine, Calls Comparison To Madonna Retarded

Lady GaGa is once again raising eyebrows with a very revealing magazine cover, this time around it’s for the mag NME. She’s barely dressed and grabbing her boob for the cover, and it the mag she’s calling the comparison to Madonna retarded.
“I swear to you. I am not stupid enough to put out a record and be that moronic,” she told the mag.
“Listen to me. Why the f–k…? I’m a songwriter. I’ve written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I’m getting one over on everybody? That’s retarded. What a completely ridiculous thing to even question me about.”
Of course her use of the “r” word already has some all kinds of upset:
“The Spread the Word to End the Word campaign is for everyone to learn more about the hurtful impact of the R-word on people with intellectual disabilities their families and friends,” Kirsten Seckler, a spokeswoman for the Special Olympics, tells E! News. “We invite Lady Gaga to join our campaign by visiting r-word.org and taking the pledge and hope that she will use her voice to help us eliminate harmful language toward our athletes—as she has done for so many others.”
I don’t blame GaGa for being a little peturbed over some comparing her music to Madonna’s, she works hard on writing her songs and coming up with new material. And as for her use of the “r” word, people really need to learn how to not be soooooo sensative, she wasn’t using the word to make fun of any one person

Lady Gaga Censored in Malaysia for Pro-Gay Lyrics

Lady Gaga’s Malaysian fans will have to deal with a heavily edited version of her hit song “Born This Way.” The AP reports that broadcasters in the majority Muslim nation refuse to play lyrics from the song that endorse homosexual lifestyles.
Radio stations have been playing a version of the track that has garbled nonsense in place of the lyrics: “No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, I’m on the right track, baby.” Malaysia’s AMP Radio Networks explain that they’ve been playing the censored version of the song to stay in line with strict government rules surrounding media.
“The particular lyrics in ‘Born This Way’ may be considered as offensive when viewed against Malaysia’s social and religious observances,” the company said in a statement. “The issue of being gay, lesbian or (bisexual) is still considered as a ‘taboo’ by general Malaysians.”
Gaga isn’t the first artist to run afoul of strict religous taboos in Malaysia. Madonna and Beyonce Knowles have both faced protests, threats of violence and government threats to shut down their performances when they scheduled tour dates there.
Gaga has yet to speak out about the censorship, but the issue of gay advocacy is one close to her heart, and she recently severed a business relationship with Target stores over political donations that flew against her support of gay marriage.

Lady Gaga talks about her past drug abuse

The 24-year-old singer has previously admitted to taking cocaine and says she still worries about the extent of her narcotic use when she was trying to launch her music career.
She told Neil Strauss in his new book Everyone Loves You When You Are Dead: “Sometimes it freaks me out – or I should say it petrifies me – when I think about laying in my apartment in New York with bed bugs and roaches on the floor and mirrors with cocaine everywhere, and no will or interest in doing anything but making music and getting high.
“I’ve had such obstacles with drugs and rejection and people not believing in me. It’s been a very long and continuous road that I love, but it’s hard to just chalk it up to myself. I have to believe there’s something greater than myself.”
The author also revealed the “Born this Way” hitmaker confided in him that she had previously suffered a “traumatic experience” but wouldn’t give details as she doesn’t want her fans to be upset.
He told RadarOnline.com: “I asked her if she’d been through a traumatic experience when she was younger and she said yes, that it was when she was in New York and it was so terrible that she’d blocked it out.
“She said it was so horrible that she didn’t want it in her younger fans’ heads. I think she felt that if she opened up about herself, then it would define her and that’s all anyone would ask about.”
However, Gaga did hint at her problems, but insisted she had brought them all on herself.
She said: “I didn’t have a bad childhood. All of the things I went through were on my own quest for an artistic journey to f**k myself up like Warhol and Bowie and Mick, and just go for it.
“All of the trauma I caused to myself. Or it was caused by people that I met when being outrageous and irresponsible.”
