Paris Hilton appeared on the “Late Show with David Letterman” on Thursday, dropping what Dave called “kind of a bulletin.”

With Hilton entering her 30s yesterday, Dave asked the heiress what her plans were for the next decade.

“Just continue doing my business and growing my empire and have kids,” Paris replied, stunning the TV host. Hilton then continued, saying, “I think having kids is the meaning of life.”

Hilton has been dating nightclub owner Cy Waits for almost one year and she described their relationship as “amazing.”

As the oldest of four children, Hilton revealed that she would like to have three or four kids when she starts a family of her own.

In one of the stranger stories we’ve heard involving Lindsay Lohan — and we’ve heard a lot of strange stories involving Lindsay Lohan — someone close to the troubled starlet apparently fooled David Letterman into believing she would appear on his show last night.

Letterman and his production staff thought they had booked Lohan to read off one of his popular Top 10 lists. That turned out to not be the case.

“Lindsay Lohan will not be delivering a Top Ten list on Thursday’s Late Show with David Letteman, as had been previously announced,” said Tom Keaney, spokesman for Worldwide Pants Incorporated. “We made a mistake. Someone purporting to be a friend of Lindsay’s reached out to the show yesterday, allegedly on her behalf, and booked her to appear.”

“Clearly, this person was not authorized to make commitments on her behalf,” the statement continued. “We wish Lindsay well, and look forward to having her on the show in the future.”

Lohan chimed in via Twitter, writing, “I am NOT going to be doing David Letterman, I’m not sure how this happened, but I am sorry for the confusion…”
