Some celebrity clothing lines make perfect sense: Gwen Stefani’s grungy-chic L.A.M.B., for example, or Dita Von Teese’s Von Follies lingerie.

Then sometimes celebs team up for product lines that seem to make no sense at all.

Today we glimpsed pictures of Halle Berry shooting a shoe commercial… in Germany. The Hollywood star was on a set in Berlin, promoting her new line for German shoe chain Deichmann to be called 5th Avenue by Halle Berry.

We’re not sure why Berry chose to launch a line with Deichmann, a brand we’ll admit we’d never heard of. We’re also not so clear on why Berry would have a shoe collection to begin with, seeing as she’s not famous for being high heel-crazy (like some stars we know), nor is she known for her remarkable red carpet footwear (she’s no Daphne Guinness or Lady Gaga).

But for whatever reason, Halle is Deichmann’s new spokesperson and has designed a whole collection that will hit European store this month.

Dita Von Teese Launches Von Follies Lingerie Line

She’s always looking for ways to help women feel sexy, and Dita Von Teese’s latest venture is a new line of lingerie called “Von Follies.”

The burlesque queen will be selling the new offerings exclusively in Target stores in Australia, and they’re sized for women of all shapes.

Dita explained, “It was important to me to accomplish the task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make any woman feel sexy and glamorous, and I’m very proud that we have been able to do that, while keeping prices affordable.”

She also noted that when it comes to getting ready for an event, she doesn’t hire a team to primp her. “I don’t want to judge people – I guess it’s part of their career, maybe they don’t have the time – but I really like the satisfaction I get from creating my own red carpet looks and doing my hair and makeup.”

“When people say that I’m just a dumb stripper, I’m thinking, wow, but you’re really giving accolades to these stylists, hair, and makeup people that get everybody turned out and I’m holding my own up there?”

Nicole Richie Goes Mainstream with Collection for QVC

She’s always had a passion for fashion, and now Nicole Richie is taking aim at mainstream America with The Nicole Richie Collection for QVC.

The “Simple LIfe” cutie has come up with a new lineup of dresses, blouses, jackets, and accessories priced from $75 to $257 set to debut on the televised shopping show on February 24th.

Nicole shared, “QVC is a well-oiled machine and to be in business with them is so exciting because it gives me an opportunity to design for a much broader range of women. I wanted you to be able to walk into your closet with your eyes closed and pick something special.”

“I want to connect with the women watching by letting them know that we are similar in many ways; I’m a mother of two and I work. We all want to feel relaxed on the inside but stylish on the outside. And that’s what I’m trying to provide.”

QVC honcho Doug Howe explained, “Nicole represents a unique combination of designer and celebrity. She has a strong point of view about bohemian influence, from flowing shapes and a love of prints, which always resonate strongly with our customer.”

Jennifer Lopez Launches is Glowing Naked

Jennifer Lopez has certainly turned herself into quite the perfumer over the last ten years, and she has no apparent plans of stopping either making perfume or churning out sexy ads to go with it.

J.Lo is launching her 18th fragrance, Glowing, a scent that she describes as an “evolution” of her first fragrance, Glow, which debuted in 2002:

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Glowing is a floral woody amber that has notes of bergamot, mandarin and cypress along with sandalwood, vanilla and cashmere musk, amongst other tantalizing oils.

And natch, Jen’s released a sexy ad to promote the scent, in which she strips naked and poses with a… glowing orb thing?

The perfume, which comes in a bottle that literally glows (cool!), will launch in the United States this May and will be sold exclusively in Kohl’s Department Stores.

Lopez isn’t the only starlet to have her nose in the perfume business. Her peers Beyonce, Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears have all created multiple perfumes and colognes.
