MAC Cosmetic has unveiled plans for a special makeup collection inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s glamorous beauty. The limited-edition line (in partnership with Authentic Brands Group) includes nearly 30 products — eye shadow, lipstick (think retro red and hot pink), nail lacquer and eyeliner — and will arrive in stores in October.

“Marilyn’s an icon, plain and simple. Her look not only defined a generation but also is relevant today,” MAC senior vp James Gager told THR. Monroe’s presence is felt everywhere, even 50 years after her death, from NBC’s new hit show Smash, which stars American Idol alum Katharine McPhee and Broadway vet Megan Hilty, to the Oscar-nominated My Week With Marilyn with Michelle Williams. “Marilyn’s back in the zeitgeist,” says Gager.

Nicki Minaj makes a very bright appearance in March’s issue of Vogue (the one with Adele on the cover!), wearing her signature pink hair in curls and a very sexy fuchsia gown and gloves as she poses for Steven Klein.

Oh yeah, and as you might notice — she’s blue.

We suspected we’d see Minaj grace the pages of Vogue someday. After all, she’s been on something of a fashion tear lately, hitting New York Fashion Week parties and wearing a headline-making nun outfit at the Grammys.

But she tells the magazine that when she was in high school in Queens, she wasn’t so attuned to fashion until a chance encounter:

I was dressing in Tommy Hilfiger baggy shirts and Boss jeans, but then I met a person who dressed like a tiny lady—pantsuits, heels, lots of makeup. I thought she was larger than life. She once did my makeup—I had never seen myself made up before. I didn’t want to wash it off; I felt like I had one day to live this fantasy of being a glamor girl.

Following her killer performance at the Grammys earlier this month, Adele had a lot to live up to when she took the stage last night (February 21) at the 2012 BRIT Awards.

And the English songbird was once again excellent in her vocal stylings, singing a marvelous rendition of her hit song “Rolling In the Deep”.

Also the big winner of the evening, Adeles cored two of the three trophies ion which she was nominated including British Female Solo Artist and the grand prize of Mastercard British Album of the Year.

Prior to attending the BRITs, Adele told press she sees the awards show as something special among these types of events.

“I have a soft spot for The BRITs, but this year feels really special since last year it kick-started my album into what it’s become. What a beautiful way to celebrate!”



Mariah Carey stopped by Good Morning America yesterday to reflect on her fallen friend Whitney Houston, talk about Nick Cannon’s health scare and, of courses, show off her shoes.

Her multi-colored Louboutins were so super fabulous they actually distracted Robin Roberts from their interview!

Before asking Mimi for the juicy gossip, the GMA host said:

“I’m so jealous of the shoes. I’m just gonna tell you right now.”

Drew Barrymore got engaged to Will Kopelman in January and now there’s some evidence to suggest there’s a baby on the way. The biggest clue: The actress carried what TMZ describes as something that “appears to be a sonogram” as she walked out of a doctor’s office late last week.

Plus, Drew has been wearing loose clothing as of late. Last week she wore a baggy dress to the the H&M Collection launch and she donned an oversized sweater while at said doctor’s appointment in Beverly Hills. She sported a more fitted floor-length dress at an event in late January, but an early baby bump could have easily fit underneath the patterned material. That’s three for three…

Apparently Barrymore’s rep gave a “no comment” answer regarding the alleged pregnancy. FYI: “No comment” isn’t “No.”

Coming off of a huge night at the Grammy Awards earlier this month, Adele was excited as she arrived at the 2012 Brit Awards in London, England earlier tonight (February 21).

The “Rolling in the Deep” hitmaker had everyone’s undivided attention as she meandered around the O2 Arena prior to the extravagant evening ahead.

Adele is up for three trophies during tonight’s festivities and will also take the stage for what will surely be a memorable performance.

Additionally, Rihanna and Florence and the Machine are scheduled to perform, and James Corden will handle the hosting duties.

She’s always looking for ways to help women feel sexy, and Dita Von Teese’s latest venture is a new line of lingerie called “Von Follies.”

The burlesque queen will be selling the new offerings exclusively in Target stores in Australia, and they’re sized for women of all shapes.

Dita explained, “It was important to me to accomplish the task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make any woman feel sexy and glamorous, and I’m very proud that we have been able to do that, while keeping prices affordable.”

She also noted that when it comes to getting ready for an event, she doesn’t hire a team to primp her. “I don’t want to judge people – I guess it’s part of their career, maybe they don’t have the time – but I really like the satisfaction I get from creating my own red carpet looks and doing my hair and makeup.”

“When people say that I’m just a dumb stripper, I’m thinking, wow, but you’re really giving accolades to these stylists, hair, and makeup people that get everybody turned out and I’m holding my own up there?”

She’s bound and determined to return to the limelight, and Lindsay Lohan has just scored a hosting gig on an upcoming episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

The “Mean Girls” actress decided to go it alone, not utilizing the help of her momager Dina Lohan, and instead talked directly to the show’s head honcho Lorne Michaels.

Lindsay will host the March 3rd show, an important step towards having a viable career in the entertainment industry again.

And as far as her legal woes, LiLo will be done with probation on March 29th if she gets her conditions fulfilled by then.

Kim left a Beverly Hills gym on Thursday holding a black Hermes Birkin, which can cost anywhere from $9K to about $150K.

Foreign ad campaigns are one of Hollywood A-listers’ best kept secrets. From Jennifer Connelly’s ’80s ads for Japanese makeup line Shiseido to Sean Connery selling Japanese yogurt, celebs travel thousands of miles from American shores to shoot hilariously awkward yet highly lucrative ads that they pray never get seen stateside.

Luckily, unlike many famous Americans’ commercial ventures overseas, Megan Fox’s new ads aren’t the slightest bit humiliating. The “Friends with Kids” actress has posed for MetroCity, a luxury handbag brand in South Korea that is relatively unknown in the U.S. but must have an American-sized budget for campaign models.

Fox models the bags while lounging on a chaise, wearing a ladylike lace dress with relatively little makeup and her hair down and loose. It’s actually a lovely look, one we wish she’d try more often on the red carpet.

Then again, the celebrity motto is as follows: the ads that happen in [non-English speaking country], stay in [non-English speaking country].
