Victoria Beckham Expecting A Girl

PEOPLE.com has confirmed the Beckhams are thinking pink.
The bundle of joy David and Victoria expect this July is a baby girl, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The soccer star, 35, announced the news Friday afternoon at an L.A. Galaxy fan luncheon, ESPN reports.
“Obviously, we’re very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I’m going to say it: It’s a little girl,” Beckham shared.
“We’re still in shock. Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon,” he added. “Our three boys are happy and excited, and Victoria is doing well.”
In February, the fashion designer, 36, insisted she didn’t yet know the sex of her fourth child, but said she’d be happy with either.
“We know what to do with boys,” said the mother of sons Cruz, 6, Romeo, 8½, and Brooklyn, 12. “But, if it’s a girl, we’d be over the moon as well.”

Victoria Beckham enlists Katie Hillier for handbag line

Remember a while back – last year, in fact – when rumors began to circulate about Victoria Beckham launching a handbag line? Well if today’s whispers are anything to go by, they were right – apparently she’s teamed up with Katie Hillier to launch the debut collection.
The partnership doesn’t come as too big of a surprise as Katie has worked with Posh’ BFF Marc Jacobs on his accessories line in the past.
The project is said to still be in the early stages, but we’re sure these two will come up some amazing bags!
Victoria Beckham Flies to Milan
Victoria Beckham left London and headed for Milan yesterday. No word on whether she’s going for business or pleasure, but since the MLS placed a deadline on the negotiations for David, it will be nice she will be there for support and encouragement until the deal is finalized. She must have some plans though, perhaps school scouting or house hunting, as she’s traveling to Milan while David is in Spain.

Victoria went for her go-to all black outfit when she was spotted at the airports. The bag she’s carrying, her Loewes Calle Ostrich bag, seems to be her go-to bag of the moment. She’s been carrying it everywhere lately!
New York Fashion week starts tomorrow, so it’s likely this is going to be a very short trip.

David Beckham Gets Cap, England Loses
David Beckham received is 108th cap last night, when he came on the field as a second-half substitute. David and England put forth a great effort, but they couldn’t upset the European Champions. Spain walked away with a 2-0 victory.

David played very well and almost set a goal up for England when he made a spectacular defense-splitting pass to Carlton Cole, but they couldn’t make the conversion happen. David Villa and Fernando Llorente scored the two goals for England.

David received a booking for dissent late in the game, which is unfortunate. Here are some highlights from the match:
David’s next goal is to play for England in the 2010 World Cup. If he keeps up this level of play, there’s no reason that can’t happen. Another goal I’m sure he has his eye on his becoming the most capped player in England’s history. He needs to play in 16 more matches and receive 125 caps to match goalkeeper Peter Shilton

MLS Wants Closure on David Beckham Transfer by Friday
The commissioner of the MLS, Don Garber has sent a letter to the owner of the Los Angeles Galaxy, Tim Leiweke. Garber is that the issues surrounding David Beckham, that is if he will be released to play for AC Milan or asked to return to the Galaxy, must be sorted out by Friday, February 13th.
“It is absolutely imperative that we bring this issue to closure by this Friday, February 13th, so we can move forward with finalizing plans for the 2009 MLS Season,” Don Garber wrote. “We are prepared to be supportive of transferring David to AC Milan for a transfer fee that acknowledges the value of his services to the Galaxy and the League. However, if the issue is not resolved by the end of the week, it will be difficult, if not impossible, for us to go forward with the transfer.”
Garber stresses that the MLS is interested in accommodating David’s request to transfer permanently to Milan, but that negotiations have been very difficult and stressful. The uncertainty of the situation has negatively impacted David, the Galaxy and the MLS and regardless of what the outcome is, drawing it out for longer than necessary can only make things worse for all parties.
The Galaxy is open to releasing David, however, they have rejected the initial offer put forth by Milan.
“Clearly, if David’s in a position where he wants to finish the season in Milan, and Milan in turn compensates the Galaxy so that we can suffer no damages to our fans or to our team, then we’ll take a look at it,” Leiweke said to the Los Angeles Times.
I’m glad that the MLS has put a deadline on the negotiations. This time has been difficult for everyone, not to mention the millions of David’s fans wondering where he’ll be next year, and his family, who’ll pick up and move to Milan if the deal goes through.
