Nicole Richie launched her jewelry line and did a meet-and-greet with fans at the Kitson Melrose store in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon. She was in a great mood, laughing, joking and signing autographs for several hours.

Nicole looked like a goddess in a long white dress and loads of gold jewelry from her own collection. Before the official launch, Nicole filmed a commercial for the line. Hundreds of fans came out to see Nicole, and she surprised all the unlucky fans who didn’t make it into the store by heading outside to say hello.

The National Enquirer is reporting that Nicole Richie and MTV reality star Tila Tequila got in quite the tiff at a post-Oscar party when Tila tried to make a pass at Nicole’s boyfriend Joel Madden.

“As soon as Tila saw Joel, she ran up to him and started acting super flirty - grabbing and hugging him,” an eyewitness told the magazine.

At first, Nicole shrugged it off, but apparently Tila wouldn’t let it drop and Joel was enjoying the attention. Once Nicole realized Tila wasn’t going away, she took matters into her own hands.

“Nicole had her back turned, but when she realized that Tila was all over him, she ran up and yelled, ‘Joel… JOEL!!’” the eyewitness explained. “When he didn’t respond right away, Nicole pulled Joel away to their table.”

Apparently, the run-in doesn’t event end there. Tila approached Joel again and Nicole just lost it.

“That was the last straw for Nicole,” the source claims. “She got right in Tila’s face and screamed ‘Back off and get out of here!’”

I find the National Enquirer pretty hard to believe. Nicole and Joel are celebrating their second pregnancy and Tila Tequila is hardly someone you need to worry about.

But I can see there is a possibility something happened and it was blown completely out of proportion for the tabloid. Maybe Tila was acting flirty. Maybe Nicole did ask her to back off. Regardless, te tabloids aren’t exactly the place to go for reliable information.

With the recent announcement of their second pregnancy, rumors are picking up again that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are planning on getting married.

In Touch Weekly is claiming that the couple is planning to quietly tie the knot before te birth of the baby.

“They are old-fashioned in some ways. Now their second baby is coming, they both want to make it legal,” their source claims.

Nicole also supposedly has a wedding dress hanging in the back of her closet - a vintage Yves Saint Laurent dress she’s being saving for a really special occasion.

In Touch tried to talk to Nicole’s dad about the rumored wedding, but he brushed it off.

“I’m the first one to pay for it and the last one to know!” he said.

I think this is just a silly rumor using Nicole’s pregnancy news to get readers. Now that the announcement is over a week old, they need something new to gossip about.

That being said, if Nicole and Joel do get married, I’d be extremely happy for them. I just think the tabloids have run this rumor into the ground.

Nicole chatted about how wonderful the past year has been, watching Harlow grow and just enjoying being a family with her and Joel Madden.

“When you’re parents you have to make every decision together, so you become a team. I can wholeheartedly say that he’s the best dad I’ve ever seen,” Nicole said. “He’s as good as my dad Lionel. Joel and my dad are really close. Joel is superdad.”

Nicole also talked about her upcoming projects, which include expanding her jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960, writing a second book, and producing a television show based on the first book. It sounds like she’s got a lot on her plate.

I bet this interview took place before Nicole revealed her pregnancy, so I’m wondering if those projects are going to get pushed back as she welcomes a second child.

The issue will be on newsstands later this week!

Joel Madden updated the official Good Charlotte blog yesterday. The band has been hard at work in the studio, putting together album number five.

Joel promises that the band is going to post some tunes early on their site for fans, so be sure to stop by regularly. They want to show their fans appreciation for all their support over the years and a few free sample songs is just one way they can do that.

Joel also shared some nice black and white shots of the band in the studio. The album, titled Cardiology is expected to drop this summer. It’s expected to have more of a pop-punk sound than their previous albums. The new music they release ahead of time should be interesting. The band has been together for so long and has gone through so much, it will be neat to see how their experiences affect the music they make.

Benji Madden is gearing up to be an uncle for a third time. He already has two gorgeous nieces, Joel’s daughter Harlow, and their young sister’s daughter, Clementine. Benji took a few moments at the 7th Annual World Poker Tournament in Beverly Hills this weekend to chat with People.com about the latest little one on the way!

“The family vibe in our band is really strong right now and we’re all really enjoying that,” Benji says. “I’m the last single guy in the band so I get to dive into the music a little more, which I love. My life is great right now. It’s wonderful.”

Benji adds he’s enjoying being the only single one left in Good Charlotte, and with all the babies around already, he’s in no rush to become a father. He does want kids - eventually.

Meanwhile, he’s just enjoying playing the rock and roll uncle to little Harlow and her soon to be baby brother or sister.

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, one-year-old daughter Harlow and Nicole’s younger sister, Sofia, enjoyed an afternoon as a family at the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday, February 28th.

Sofia, enjoyed playing aunt for the day, often playing with and holding Harlow.

Harlow looked adorable in her purple shirt and jeans combo. She’s looking more and more like Dad every day!

Nicole looked cute too, in a casual black vest and floral dress. It was the perfect outfit for a seaside stroll.

Te family had some lunch and enjoyed the fun and games happening on the pier.

Joel Madden and his brother Benji were judges at the “Walk the Walk” fashion design competition. Teams from high schools across the country compete by putting together a themed fashion show, which they then presented to the judges. The winning team receives a 00 donation to support their art and music programs at their high school.

Joining Joel and Benji on the judging panel were Sports Illustrated cover model Bar Refaeli, Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, Robert Buckley of Lipstick Jungle and Frankie Delgado of Bromance. The show took place at The Hills at House of Blues in Anaheim and Fountain Valley High School took home the top prize.

The competition was put together by Hurley in order to inspire creativity and confidence in today’s youth. Hurley, a youth brand produces products like footwear, swimwear accessories and more that are inspired by surf, skate, art and beach cultures.

It looks like it’s a really fun and creative competition to be involved with. I would have loved it if my high school did something similar!

After the whirlwind of festivities surrounding Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s prengnacy announcement, People.com spotted Nicole and Joel quietly enjoying a low-key meal on Tuesday, February 22. Harlow wasn’t with them, perhaps she was enjoying a day with her grandparents or was on a play date!

The couple was at the California Pizza Kitchen in Los Angeles, where they ordered a ton of pizza and salad, an onlooker tells the magazine. The two ate “mostly in silence” which, I’m sure, will spur rumors that their relationship is in trouble. My guess? The couple is simply exhausted.

As a UNICEF ambassador, part of Joel Madden’s job is to raise awareness about issues affecting children in developing countries. He recently made two different public service announcements for this very reason, talking about two different causes he cares about.

In this first video, Joel talks about malaria. One child dies from malaria every thirty seconds. This can be prevented with something as simple as an insecticide-treated bed net. Spread the Net is a Canadian-based initiative striving to deliver affordable nets to children all over Africa. For only , you can buy a net and save a child’s life.

In this second video, Joel talks about the Tap Project. The Tap Project is helping UNICEF bring safe drinking water to children all over the world. Joel encourages you to get involved. Only can give a child clean water for 40 days.

It’s great Joel is getting so involved with his role as UNICEF ambassador and lending his name and face to so many different causes. It would have been nice, though, if these videos had a bit more life to them.
