In a recent interview with Ebony magazine, Beyoncé Knowles spoke about her career and rapper husband, Jay-Z.

They asked the songstress if she had any plans for retirement, but I get the feeling that’s low on her priorities list.

She says, “I will never retire. I love it way to much. I’ve worked so hard on my craft and I will never stop.”

According to Ebony, Beyoncé was fully aware that this means she’ll have to backtrack on an earlier comment she made insisting she’d retire in her 20s.

She was asked about what she’s like when she’s not working. The singer claims she works hard enough at her job that she feels the need to be totally ‘laxed at home.

“I’m a little messy. Whenever I’m out in public, I have to be put together. When I get home, I rebel against it and I don’t want to take care of anything. I drop it.”

The same cannot be said for Hova. “He’s very,very organized. I’m extremely organized when I’m working, and I work so much that when I get home I don’t want to think about anything”.

The full interview will be shown in the April issue of Ebony and will be titled “BeyoncEvolved.” It should be available for purchase in early March.

Interesting to hear! I’m so curious. Will Beyoncé ever want to settle down and have kids? Poor Jay-Z must be going crazy ;).

As most people know, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, are good friends with Beyoncé and Jay-Z. But according to reports, they’ve gotten even closer.

A source says that Chris “is becoming really close pals with Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Gwyneth’s kids call him [Jay-Z] ‘Uncle Jay,’ and she and Chris were special guests at Jay-Z’s wedding.”

Aww! That’s so sweet! It’s great that they can be such close friends. I wonder if Beyoncé and Jay have kids, they’ll refer to Gwyneth as “Auntie.”

Many of us have questions concerning Jay-Z’s upcoming album “Blueprint 3.” When is it going to be released? What company will it be under? Island Def Jam chairman, L.A. Reid, is just as interested in this as we are.

He says, “We still have an arrangement with Jay-Z. He and I are really good friends, and we enjoy working together, and we’re hoping we could figure it out. If we can’t figure it out, it won’t lessen my interest in his record and in his career.

“My relationship with him goes much deeper than what company it’s on. To me, the Blueprint 3 is an important album, however it comes out. If it comes out in a cereal box, it doesn’t matter to me. As long as it’s one of the great records of our time.”

Jay-Z and his album mean more to him than just what label the records under. “I wanna know that artists like Jay-Z and business people like Jay-Z can have a 40-year career. I wanna see the first hip-hop artist have a 40 year career. I wanna know that hip-hop has the legs, and it wasn’t a trend in music. It wasn’t something that can come and go, but it will stick around and last. No different from rock music, no different from pop music.”

It’s interesting to hear L.A.’s point of view with all of this. It would be awesome if Jay-Z or any hip hopper or rapper could stay around as long as someone like pop singer Madonna. That’s definitely something to pay attention to.

Those are some pretty tough competitors. She worked really hard in the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” video. The whole thing was taken in one shot, so I hope she wins for Best Moves. Her dancing has improved so much since she first started out. I just hope Chris Brown doesn’t win…As for Best Video, we might see Pink snatch that one.

It’s being reported that former Destiny’s Child member, Kelly Rowland, will be taking part in Bravo’s newest reality TV show.

The show is called “The Fashion Show” and Kelly along with designer, Isaac Mizrahi and Fern Mallis will be  one of the judges. It will replace “Project Runway”, which is moving to the Lifetime channel.

“The Fashion Show” will follow professional designers who are competing to have their designs sold by major outlets.

However, during their challenges, the judges will not be the only ones deciding their fate. They’ll also be judged by a studio audience!

So, what do you think? Will you be watching “The Fashion Show?” I don’t know if it’s really my type of show, but I’m willing to give it a shot to support Kelly!

Beyoncé Knowles is coming way up north to Canada (my country!) before she jets off to do her “I Am…Sasha Fierce” tour in Europe. She’s also included a little spot for Seattle before she leaves.

Here is her schedule for Canada and Seattle:

It is being rumored all over the place that singer and actress, Beyoncé Knowles, will be performing at the gala ceremony of the 81st Annual Academy Awards! How awesome is that?!

Also said to be performing on the movie biz’s big night are Disney’s “High School Musical” stars Zac Efron and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. Bey has reportedly started rehearsing at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City.

The Academy Awards will be airing on Sunday, February 22 by ABC from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. Don’t forget to tune in! It sounds like it will be a marvellous event. Are you hoping for any particular movie or actor to win?

It’s been a busy week for Solange Knowles. At the Toni Maticevski Fall 2009 show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Solo joined the club of nip slips. Not the best club to belong to but thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as Tara Reid’s or anything.

Then, I had been looking at her messages on Twitter and saw that she wasn’t feeling well. Apparently, she was so dehydrated that she passed out and was sent to the hospital today! According to her, she was hooked up to an IV but released shortly after. Man, that sucks!

Here’s a series of some of her tweets:

• Woaah…… How’d I end up in the hosptal?
• Woke up to 8 random people over me, laid out on the floor in baggage claim!
• Guess I passed out! Scary. Hooked up to IV now . Apparently I’m super dehydrated.

Solange Knowles was at the opening for the new Armani store on 5th Avenue in New York City. I’m sorry but I am not liking that outfit. The coat is fine for me, but that green dress under there just does not look good, in my opinion. What are your thoughts?
